HOW I CAME TO DO IT
The collapse of the mortgage industry led me to a career in the field of bankruptcy. 2008 was a lousy time to be a mortgage originator, but it was a good time to be married to a bankruptcy attorney.
Just prior to the crash, Susan had just purchased $3000 worth of bankruptcy leads. I volunteered to work them. My industry didn’t exist anymore…I didn’t have anything better to do.
The lead campaign was successful, and I soon took over all of Susan’s new client activity. This new arrangement worked very well, and her firm grew into a top ten filer in the Eastern District of Missouri.
In the fall of 2013, Susan and I felt a calling and moved to the Pacific Northwest. She is in the non-profit world, and I now work from home helping other bankruptcy attorneys grow their practices.
